Mrs Agnès Proton has been admitted to the Grasse Bar Association, www.avocats-grasse.com, in 1992. She is a Law graduate from Nice Sophia Antipolis University, www.unice.fr (Maîtrise en Droit Privé in 1985), Aix-Marseille University, Accueil | Aix-Marseille Université (univ-amu.fr) (DESS de Droit Notarial in 1987 and Diplôme Supérieur de Notariat in 1990), and from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, USA (LL.M 1992).
In 2007 she started a Mediation training course provided by the Association Aix-Mediation in Aix-en-Provence. Since then, she has kept up with these skills, steadily enlarging them with Negociation and other Alternative Dispute Resolution methods.
In 2007 as well, she has been elected Secretary General of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats / International Association of Young Lawyers (www.aija.org), after having chaired AIJA Private Clients Commission. She has been appointed since then AIJA Honorary General Secretary, and has joined the AIJA Alumnis Club.
She had also been a member of the Union Internationale des Avocats / International Association of Lawyers (www.uianet.org) from 2007 till 2015.
Since 2010 she has been an active member of ABA-SIL, the American Bar Association - Section of International Law International Law Section (americanbar.org).
In ABA-SIL she has been Co-Chairing the International Private Client Committee from 2015 till 2018.
She has also joined the American Bar Association - Section of Real Estate, Property and Trust Law in 2015 (https://www.americanbar.org/groups/real_property_trust_estate.html).
In addition, she is an honorary member of the Union des Jeunes Avocats du Barreau de Grasse, a local professional union branch, part of the Fédération Nationale des Unions de Jeunes Avocats (www.fnuja.com) which is one of the most important lawyers' labors unions in France.
She is also a member and has been the Founder Secretary of the interprofessional association AvEC : "Avocats & Experts-comptables" ("Lawyers & Accountants"). This association organises local meetings and seminars aimed at promoting interprofessional coopération, and showing the efficiency of both professions when working together.
Given her academic background, Mrs Proton has oriented her litigation pratice toward traditional notarial law areas. In addition, lawyers in France are entitled to intermediate, inter alia, in real estate transactions. As such, Mrs Proton has been a member of the A.A.M.T.I. since 2011 (Association des Avocats Mandataires en Transactions Immobilières: www.avocat-immo.fr) ...
... and joined the M.I.A. association in 2016 (Marché Immobilier des Avocats).

As a matter of fact, her associative and citizen commitments are not limited to her own professional area. She was also the Secretary Founder member of the Antibes Azur Riviera Rotary Club, created in 1996, of which she was a member till 2015 and one of its Past Presidents as well (2005-2006). At the same time, she had been an elected member of the Cannes City Council from 2001 till 2014, delegate to International Relations.
Today, in all pratice areas, her experience at an international professional level has provided her Firm with a strong foreign correspondents' network, made available to her Clients.
